COMMUNICATION DEPARTMENT
The main function of the department is to emancipate mankind through information dissemination and sharing. The department provides an enabling environment to facilitate improved communication and information sharing mechanisms within the Diocese, its collaborators, and partners.
The programme aims to increase access to information and diversify communication methods. It is responsible for developing an effective information management system for monitoring Diocesan programs. In Kigoma Diocese, the department oversees the preparation of the Ibuhana diocesan bulletin, the distribution of newspapers, and regular updates of the diocesan website.

Our vision is the Church as a Family of God, committed to holistic evangelization and integral development.
Mission
The department works to redeem the whole person by promoting both spiritual and physical development through effective communication. It welcomes the public as the Church strives to liberate humanity from sin, poverty, illiteracy, disease, and injustice.
Objectives
Based on the vision, the department aims to:
- Promote effective communication for evangelization.
- Build and strengthen communication structures.
- Involve youth, women, and children through media and drama.
COLIC Project
Currently, the department is planning a major multimedia project known as COLIC (Community Learning and Information Centre). This initiative promotes communication as a tool for development.
The centre will include the following units:
- Online TV
- Computer Learning Centre
- ICT LAB
