VOCATION DEPARTMENT
The Vocation Department has the responsibility of promoting and developing vocations to the brotherhood of Christ in the Diocese of Kigoma. It encourages people to commit themselves to God through religious life, spiritual life, and service to others. The department helps people to understand their spiritual calling and accompanies them in recognizing and facing the challenges they may encounter in their spiritual journey.
Through awareness programs in parishes, schools, and Small Christian Communities, the department creates a culture of vocations and prayer for the clergy and religious, inviting young men and women to respond generously to the call of God.
Mission
To promote and animate vocations in the Diocese, accompanying those called to the priesthood, religious life, and other forms of consecrated life in their journey of discernment and formation.

A Diocese rich in vocations, where every baptized person responds joyfully to the call of God in their state of life.
Objectives
- Promote and animate vocations at parish, deanery, and diocesan levels.
- Support seminarians and religious in their formation journey.
- Accompany those discerning priestly, religious, and lay vocations.
- Organize vocation awareness programs in schools, parishes, and SCCs.
- Coordinate retreats, camps, and days of prayer for vocations.
- Foster a culture of prayer for vocations among the faithful.
