PASTORAL DEPARTMENT

The Pastoral Department safeguards the mission of the Diocese of Kigoma by advocating pastoral solicitude and love in all diocesan activities. It promotes the spiritual growth of the faithful and accompanies them in living out the Gospel in their daily lives.

The department works hand in hand with parishes, deans, and pastoral agents to ensure that the pastoral plan of the Diocese reaches every Christian community. It also collaborates with the other departments to bring an integrated pastoral approach to the mission of the Church.

To safeguard the mission of the Diocese and ensure pastoral solicitude and love in all diocesan activities for the spiritual growth of the faithful.

Objectives

  • Ensure pastoral solicitude and love in all diocesan activities.
  • Promote the spiritual growth and faith formation of the faithful.
  • Coordinate pastoral programs and activities at parish and diocesan levels.
  • Support the implementation of the diocesan pastoral plan and synod resolutions.
  • Strengthen the life of Small Christian Communities as centers of evangelization.
